50,000 people go to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund is then due. The team is about to mail refunds when the Congressional Democrats stopps them and decrees that they send out refund amounts based on the Democrat National Committee's interpretation of fairness. After all,if the refunds are made based on the price each person paid for the tickets, most of the money would go to the wealthiest ticket holders. That would be unconscionable!

Didn't Dubya also promise to bring them home from Bosnia? If so, why are they still there?

Whatever it is, I bet it's less than the time we've been in Korea, Germany, etc.

Look, if troops are needed in Iraq to win the war on terror, then put 'em there. This President will not keep our troops there longer than needed...he isn't TheBentOne.

Anybody want to take me up on the O/U of the US being out of Iraq in 4 years? I'll take the over and match any bet you can afford.

"It is time to face that truth and change course, to share the postwar burden internationally for the sake of our country."

To anyone who has studied the continuing war of Marxism against humanity, this statement literally jumps off the page. It is one of the many mantras of "progressive world socialism".

Kerry, like virtually every other member of the Democratic Party, is a mouthpiece for, and a pawn of, the ongoing Marxist "revolution". The end of that road is a mass grave.

troops would only be until Christmas in Bosnia

They have to say that. They said it about Vietnam. Iraq, though? 40 years, two generations.

The author of the new book "Empire" who was on C-span several weeks ago explained that the British were involved in Iraq for 41 years, from 1917 to 1958. He said that was much less time than some of their other colonial administrations. He observed that it was obviously not long enough since their "nation-building" efforts failed to take hold. So I doubt that much can be accomplished in 4 years.

I have a great deal of respect for president Bush and the U.S. military for doing this. No other president wanted to do anything.
Saddam was financing his own Al Quata, as well as the Palistinian butchers. He was - IS - a madman.
What they need to do is kill Saddam and his sons, because they ruled by terror. Once the people of Iraq feel secure, and no longer at Saddams mercy, they'll help the U.S. en mass. They'll tell us where he stashed his weapons easily.
Killing Saddam and his sons is the answer to all this. Let's hope it gets done sooner rather than later.
