Saying that Hillary Clinton's book "can't be allowed to go unchallenged," Sexgate whistle-blower Linda Tripp returned to the spotlight on Wednesday to challenge the former first lady's claim that she didn't know President Clinton was having an affair with Monica Lewinsky until a DNA test proved the allegation.
Tripp said that Mrs. Clinton undoubtedly knew about the illicit relationship much earlier because she had a top aide monitoring President Clinton's private activities.
"With Evelyn Lieberman, as deputy chief of staff to the president, Hillary's henchman - there was no way that Hillary was not completely apprised of Monica Lewinsky," Tripp told nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity.
"So the notion that she never knew - and then only knew - and was shocked and thrown to her knees in abject anxiety and grief, is nothing more than what the rest of her book is, a revisionist way of jockeying herself into a position [to run] for president," the former White House insider said.
Asked what she thought of Mrs. Clinton's book, Tripp told Hannity, "I was appalled and shocked."
The former Clinton aide said she was shocked, "not in that she lied throughout the book," which didn't surprise her, "but [I was] shocked that it is so well done that the average person reading this book will believe it."
Saying that a Hillary Clinton presidency can't be allowed to happen, Tripp urged, "I think people with personal, factual information, firsthand information, need to speak out."
"I've watched Hillary closely in action," explained Tripp, who is in the midst of recovering from breast cancer. "I sat next to her for a great period of time. I know her culpability and that her fingers were literally in each scandal.
"And she also knows I know," she added.
Tripp said that she came to know Mrs. Clinton while working for over a year in the White House Counsel's office, which was next to the office of the first lady.
Thanks for the laugh. It really cracked me up. I needed a laugh tonight!
:-D
The evidence is ovewhelmingly on Tripp's side. The existence of Hillary's managers placed in the Oval Office, to represent Hillary's interest, is well documented. The Hillary people had real power (the ran the justice dept, for example)and among other things they oversaw the intern program -- for good reason, to keep a leash on Bill.
How and why do you think that Lewinsky was 'banished' to the Pentagon, for instance? The Pentagon was used as a dumping ground to ease out people (with a soft landing, to co-opt their grudging silence) who Bill or Hillary didn't want in the WH.(which shows the CLinton's contempt for the Pentagon and the military, BTW).
That's why Tripp was sent to the Pentagon, unwanted as a hold-over from the Bush White House and someone who had troublesome knowledge of matters pertaining to, e.g., Vince Foster and other embarrassments.
And that's also why Monica was banished (by Hillary's henchmen) there -- banished by Hillary, based on reports from her Oval Office personnel that Monica and Bill were up to no good. Monica's path mirrored Tripp's path, and that's the basis for the friendship between them, to Bill's eternal regret.
Where Hillary's people screwed up, and they paid a price for it, was that they failed to discover that Monica was sneaking back to the Oval Office -- with the help of the Secret Service. That was old hat to Bill, who ran the same games back in Arkansas, which was documented in the American Spectator piece by Brock.
The 'dress' news had broken some days before Hillary claims she knew about Bill's 'indiscretion'. So she was either lying or incapable of facing facts. Either way, she isn't leadership material.
Linda Tripp - It was a well-known fact at the White House that Hillary wanted to run for president.
The saying that went around was
It said (I will paraphrase here) - "None of those girls will be able to help you the way I can. Remember our plan, Bill. I will help you get into the White for eight years and then you will help me to get eight years."
Do you think I care whether you care? Nice non-sequitur, by the way.
