Wow, you dug deep in your FR past to pull that one out. I'm impressed...

Tripp is speculating. The evidence is ovewhelmingly on Tripp's side. The existence of Hillary's managers placed in the Oval Office, to represent Hillary's interest, is well documented. The Hillary people had real power (the ran the justice dept, for example)and among other things they oversaw the intern program -- for good reason, to keep a leash on Bill.
How and why do you think that Lewinsky was 'banished' to the Pentagon, for instance? The Pentagon was used as a dumping ground to ease out people (with a soft landing, to co-opt their grudging silence) who Bill or Hillary didn't want in the WH.(which shows the CLinton's contempt for the Pentagon and the military, BTW).
That's why Tripp was sent to the Pentagon, unwanted as a hold-over from the Bush White House and someone who had troublesome knowledge of matters pertaining to, e.g., Vince Foster and other embarrassments.
And that's also why Monica was banished (by Hillary's henchmen) there -- banished by Hillary, based on reports from her Oval Office personnel that Monica and Bill were up to no good. Monica's path mirrored Tripp's path, and that's the basis for the friendship between them, to Bill's eternal regret.
Where Hillary's people screwed up, and they paid a price for it, was that they failed to discover that Monica was sneaking back to the Oval Office -- with the help of the Secret Service. That was old hat to Bill, who ran the same games back in Arkansas, which was documented in the American Spectator piece by Brock.

I can't believe how poorly even most Freepers remember the Matt Lauer interview.
Hillary: "There is no proof of that, or no proof will come out. It is just speculation, and I don't think any proof will come out..." or some such thing.
Anyone who can remember it knows that Hillary KNEW the day after it broke...
To: kattracks
Oh, Hitlery knew alright. She knows about everything because she was and is up to her neck in everything.
Instead of being the world's smartest woman(I ROTFL everytime I hear that one); she is the world's biggest bald-faced liar.
Do we really want to elect someone in any office like this woman? No.
To: freekitty
We already can't trust her.
To: kattracks
Isn't Linda Tripp a FReeper? Seems I heard that before.
To: kattracks
Linda, this is old news. We all knew this already. But that's okay - maybe if you keep saying, some of the Hillary kool-aid drinkers will finally get it. (Don't hold your breath though.)

"I didn't say Tripp was wrong, I said she is obviously just speculating and has no first hand knowledge of what Hillary knew."
The 'dress' news had broken some days before Hillary claims she knew about Bill's 'indiscretion'. So she was either lying or incapable of facing facts. Either way, she isn't leadership material.

Also in the interview on Hannity (as I recall):
Linda Tripp - It was a well-known fact at the White House that Hillary wanted to run for president.
The saying that went around was
Eight years for Bill and eight years for Hill.

yeah, and then there is the letter Hillary wrote to Bill when he was running for congress and was entertaining the lovelies surrounding the campaign. One of the many bimbo's recalled reading it in the campaign office.
It said (I will paraphrase here) - "None of those girls will be able to help you the way I can. Remember our plan, Bill. I will help you get into the White for eight years and then you will help me to get eight years."

Hillary was in on it and it was probably her idea to begin with, IMO. Same with all of Bubba's other affairs.

If, as I suggested, Hillary was in on it from the getgo, then they were not extramarital affairs and he did not cheat on her, technically speaking.

Nice hearing the view of a Libertarian atheist. Do you think we care? Do you think I care whether you care? Nice non-sequitur, by the way.
