The CBP said the shipment was bound for Central America, and originated in the People's Republic of China. Which Central American country?
Is it possible for there to be a "Huge Weapons Shipment" from China without the consent of the Chinese government?

Were these weapons to be stored near Panama?

Is this considered illegal, or merely a curiosity?
(There are LOTS of weapons imports from China to the US. LOTS.)
To: chance33_98
.......inspectors seized more than 700 handguns, 900 magazines, and 450 shotguns from a container at the port on June 28. ?.....this 'throw-down' catch from China is a bad 'joke', right?
Maybe, the real shipment.....700,000...900,000........450,000.........got through undetected?
THAT.....would be 'huge'.
IMO

There's more to this story than what's in the article. Was this a legal shipment between the Chinese and some central American country or business? The Chicoms export weapons legally all the time. If so, why were they seized...just because the ship parked in Portland on the way? I would hope that there was some illegal component to this shipment. Golly gee, handguns and shotguns. That sounds dangerous! Why, they could hit any American city from 20 yards away!

Its not like its illegal for one country to sell weapons to another, especially small arms.

why would the chi coms go through Portland to smuggle such a "HUGE" (zzzzzzz)
amount of small arms to Central America
When they effectively own Panama and the Bahamas have friends in low places like Venzuala Cuba Brazil Columbia etc etc etc

ABC radio news just reported that the contents of the shipping container containing the guns were labeled as "Rainbow Trout".

When they start finding these:
