I say we make it TWO.

The UN is just pissed because they haven't dumbed us down to give our guns up freely. And we never ever will be dumb enough to give them up! :-)
To: Mr. Mojo
America is now estimated to have between 238 million and 276 million firearms, compared with some 250 million legally owned guns, or 84 for every 100 people recorded in a July 2001 survey. So what? You ask me, that's not nearly enough.
To: Mr. Mojo
Where in the UN charter does it say anything about counting guns? This is why I am so sick of the UN. They cannot do what they are supposed to do, and try to do many things they are not even empowered to do. And that which they do that is good, such as feeding the most needy, would be done a lot better were the generous states of the world to do it without the UN's facilitation. The UN is a total waste of everyone's time and energy.

i recently bought a Bersa .380ACP.. very reasonable, and a good gun too..

One gun for every American citizen? One word.......GOOD. Actually I would like it better if every every American Citizen owned at least a half dozen guns (or more) J

Amen and pass the ammunition! Someone isn't holding up their end, however, since every gun owner I know has more than one gun.
p.s. Hey UN - go mind your own business.

Hey, I'm in Illinois...
Yeah, Illinois could get a little dicey here in a while - what with Daley/Bag-O-Shit introducing new gun bans every two months.

Send a couple of "Blue Helmet's" around and see how many you can actually countI was watching the news the other night on the TV at the local pub and noticed how nicely those shiny blue UN helmets "pop out" of the background, if you know what I mean. Not at all like the cammo-cloth covered helmets of combat troops.
BTW, with all the gun nuts...er...I mean firearms enthusiasts on this thread, perhaps one of you knows a good gunsmith that can do a "Melt job" and shorten the tube on my Super Blackhawk.

Have been looking around for old .03 Springfields, .303 British or the best of all, a M1 Garand. These are getting very hard to find and what I have seen are very pricy and not in good shape. Nonesense. CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) just released a batch of '03 "Springfields" of various manufacture, I picked up three, one real Springfield Armory and two Remingtons. They also have M1 Garands, though I got my Garand from Militech, more expensive but like new. British Enfield SMLEs in .303 Brit are still dirt cheap. Check out Gibbs Rifle Company on line.
I'm with you. Some of the finest firearms ever devised were designed at the turn of the 20th Century. It's hard to find a better (More accurate and reliable) rifle than the M1903 and the M1911 is arguably the best personal defense pistol available.

I'm happy for you. I keep hearing horror stories about 'FOID's and those that run afoul of Daley's storm troopers.

About old weapons:
Kinda getting off topic but when the 3rd was doing "Thunder Run" in downtown Baghdad the nooze people said they had the most modern weapons in the world.
I checked it out and saw a lot of M2 .50 Brownings doing what they do best.
This weapon dates to 1923!!!!
Gotta love "Ma Deuce"

Your #80 is all true and good. But you must remember that when individuals, groups and even governments are animated by evil, reason and logic flies in the face of the reality you described . Evil is evil for its' own sake. It cares not about government overthrow, economic collapse, subjugation of people, or foreign policy changes. Its' sole intent is to destroy with whatever weapon or power is most readily available.
