Wait till the govt. gets the bill for the house,
They won't. Property damage caused during the commission of a felony is the responsibility of the felon.
What felony, he wasn't there at the time of the second "storming" Who's house was it, his his wife's a rental? Glad you know all the details, the trooper couldn't answer the same question as to who pays...study your civil law a little more before you make such broad statements, libility could be on many people, however the govt has deep pockets...What if the original charge is proven false? Now you have decided not only is he guilty but he is also liable for house burning. Let's just do away with trials and judges and let people vote on news reports, look at all the money we can save.
not to mention the benefits paid to the deceased officers family...all over a "solicitation" charge that seems to have been forgotten....
The benefits don't amount to much.
Guesss again. Pension for life for spouse plus life insurance is my guess at a minimum.
And simply waiting the SOB out encourages more SOBs to engage in standoffs. Where you had maybe one or two, now you've got ten or twenty.
apples and oranges, you obviously know nothing about barricaded suspect procedures, maybe even less than the MSP.
oh yes since when does allegedly soliciting (propositioning)for sex make one a predator? People can't even ask anymore?"
It was solicitation of a minor. Do you have teenage daughters? I will have one in about eight years. If anyone propositions my daughter, he'd better pray that the police catch up with him first, because they will be far more merciful.
Fine, go ahead and take the law into your own hands, be judge and jury...but still does not answer the question, first it is alleged he solicited a minor and second predator means prey, which indicates aggression, devour, destroy, not merely asking or suggesting. He may have broken the law but the word predator does not seem to fit IMO in this case, lacking further information. If I offer some kid $50 to wash my car am I a predator?
"I find the charge inconcistent with his background, and IMO suspect."
People said that about Jimmy Swaggart until he announced, "AH HAVE SINNED!"
I will wait and see, but until more info is forthcoming IMO he gets the benefit of the doubt.
"The authorities know this guy, know he is stubborn, militia member, why go to his house and arrest him when they could have called him to the station or waited for him to go to work or his business or get into a vehicle away from his home." Because he was propositioning minors. That's predatory.
So what, it was non-violent and in a public place, no need for immediate action, not likely to abscond or harm others, and in fact in most areas a warrant of that type would not be personally served. What would the bail be for this type of alleged crime, how long before he would have been released on his own recognizance or for a few thousand dollars bail? I think his anti-government stance or how he acted towards police when giving his statement may have started the escalation and authorities reacted poorly.

What felony, he wasn't there at the time of the second "storming"Irrelevant. The felony was resisting arrest. Had he surrendered, the standoff would not have happened, and the house would not have ended up getting torched.
Guesss again. Pension for life for spouse plus life insurance is my guess at a minimum.
Wrong. Life insurance plus pension plan lump-sum payout unless the officer was eligible for retirement. And without years of interest accrual...the pension payout ain't much.
Fine, go ahead and take the law into your own hands, be judge and jury...
With goofballs like you saying "no harm in asking," looks like I'm the only
but still does not answer the question, first it is alleged he solicited a minor
Right. That's why we have a judicial system--to deal with ALLEGATIONS of criminal behavior.
One of the requirements of due process is that the accused has to submit to the process due him.
and second predator means prey, which indicates aggression, devour, destroy, not merely asking or suggesting.
An adult asking someone to engage in sex for money, said someone being below the age of consent, is predatory by definition.
He may have broken the law but the word predator does not seem to fit IMO in this case, lacking further information. If I offer some kid $50 to wash my car am I a predator?
If you do not understand the difference between soliciting a minor to wash a car and soliciting a minor for sex, then you are one sick perverted a$$hole and should be locked up for life.
