I thought I'd introduce to fellow Freepers who don't know about it the blog of an Iranian Girl, who, for reasons of personal safety, does not reveal her name. It's always possible that a person is not what she represents herself to be, but all I can say is that she looks authentic and many fellow bloggers and websites are taking her to be authentic.
Tomorrow (whoops, that's today) starts a new round of potentially revelutionary protests in Iran, so I figured we should get as many news sources as possible, rather than relying on the NYTimes, etc.

Actually, I just cut-and-pasted your link. You don't always need to use HTML tags, I guess JohnRob rigged something to do it automatically in some instances.

Cool.
BTW, for New York City Freepers and Freepers near Washington D.C; I got this from Andrew Sullivan's site:
"Iran anti-theocracy demo in NYC tomorrow. It's at 11 am to 2 pm at 47th St. and 1st Avenue. In D.C., the rally today is at 10 am, at the West Capitol..."

Iran students cancel protest to mark 1999 unrest
By Jon Hemming
TEHRAN, July 9 (Reuters) - Iranian student leaders backed down from protests in Tehran on Wednesday as police enforced tight security on the anniversary of 1999 unrest fearing a flare-up of last month's anti-clerical demonstrations.
Authorities have banned off-campus rallies, closed university dormitories, postponed summer exams and vowed to deal strictly with any unrest after some 4,000 people were arrested in 10 nights of sometimes violent protests across the country in June. (Reuters)
