This is a good thing!

If there is even a hint that your personal activities could be used by foreign agents for black-mail, then your security clearance is immediately suspended.

I have an uncle who is at the very least a flaming liberal. Get into a political argument with him every time I see him, which is seldom. I doubt that he's a card-carrying member . . . but he just doesn't disagree with much of the commie agenda.

I'd really have hated to lose my job over that. After all, what control did I have over it???
