As you said, government rarely does anything that is logical. These things are nothing more than flying rats...they defecate all over everything, they're noisy, and I have seen them be absolutely vicious with children. I don't know how many times I've taken my canoe out of the river and had to wade through what seemed like miles of goose poop just to get to my vehicle.

But, despite their abundance, they are a protected species in our state. It is illegal for you to bother them in any way. Nice.
