Viacom has shelved plans to launch Outlet, a 24-hour cable channel aimed at gays, according to the Gay.com/PlanetOut.com Network, an online news service operated by PlanetOut Partners. It said that it had received a statement from the company saying that "due to the current economic climate, the timetable has slowed down for the development of a new network dedicated to programming to the gay and lesbian audience. We will keep the media informed of new developments." However, the news service pointedly observed that the economic climate did not deter Viacom for buying a controlling stake in Comedy Central from AOL Time Warner for $1.13 billion or from launching Spike TV.

[T]he news service pointedly observed that the economic climate did not deter Viacom for buying a controlling stake in Comedy Central from AOL Time Warner for $1.13 billion or from launching Spike TV.
Comedy Central and Spike TV (aimed at men) appeal to more than 3 percent of the population, and presumably and even lower percentage of the TV watching public.

Listening to Rusty Humphrey the other day he said that after he worked out at a public gym and coming out of the shower there were two 'guys' checking out and making comments on each guys unit.
He said he was afraid of saying or doing anything because of PC infection!
(I'm sure Mike Savage would have reacted differently!!)
Humphrey then said that after thinking about it he should have just decked the @$sholes!
That's all that's on the minds of the radical queers is bungholing and buttknocking!

He should have grabbed his crotch and told them "strong enough for a man, but made for a woman."

LOL! Just think, we were very close to B.S. Plenty (aka Barbra Streisand) coming out of retirement. I thought that was was that other network was for P.B.S. (even has the letters, Plenty of Barbra Streisand).

I guess enough people just didn't get behind it...
Seriously though, I like lesbians...they usually pay for their own drinks...
With a GAY channel...would all remotes have a pink button...?
Would a GAY channel features home decorating tips...?
Wouls a GAY channel feature live remotes from the END UP...?
ok..ok..ok...enough is enough.

Damn, and I was getting ready to pitch the show "Who's Hiding The Gerbil?". I am deeply saddened.

I was glad when his character bought the farm in Independence Day.

Okay, what is the reference to The Gerbil?

However, the news service pointedly observed that the economic climate did not deter Viacom for buying a controlling stake in Comedy Central from AOL Time Warner for $1.13 billion or from launching Spike TV.Maybe that's because they think Comedy Central and Spike TV will be more profitable than a gay channel. Do these [expletives] really think they're being discriminated against?

would all remotes have a pink button...?Yeah, with a red number "69" button.

Okay, what is the reference to The Gerbil?(you might not want to read this - explicit post warning)
It refers to a sexual act in which a live gerbil (or other small animal) is inserted into someone's orifice, generally via a tube, so that it's suffocation/writhing/clawing would be pleasurable to the recipient.
From what I understand, it's more of an urban legend than a real act. Some tabloid once accused Richard Gere of engaging in this.

Now, that is sick! However, I would not put it past the homosexual community, given the existence of NAMBLA.
