Taking a slam at reporters in general is one of the reasons many reporters ignore the the whacko branch of the Conservative movement.... ( and thank God they ignore you. Think how bad it would be if they told the world the truth about you!)

You know nothing about me. Two tours RVN for USArmy, plus one for ABC in Israel in '73, Gulf War I in 90-91. Two PH, a SS and free meals at a great restaurants in Tel Aviv and Flatbush for dragging a young kid from Brooklyn who was serving in Israeli Army out of a Syrian minefield.

A) you apparently can't read. I never said I'm a journalist, and I'm not. B) Yes, Donnelly's piece is an "opinion" piece, and I expresed my "opinion" by cautioning readers that she has an agenda. This apparently terrifies some people---that they find out what her agenda is. It shouldn't. It should stand on its merits.

C) You seem quite afraid to let Lynch speak for herself. That should concern any "illogical" or "logical" reader.

You are making the mistake, though, of viewing Lynch as a "victim" of a "PC" military. I don't buy it. EVERY recruit, male and female knows what is going on, what the risks are, and what the demands of the job are, especially by the beginning of March 2003.

So the "military" isn't "doing" anything to Lynch or anyone else. I'm willing to accept whatever she says, and as far as I know she is NOT under a gag order. I don't ever recall her family saying that, and she already has a movie deal, so it can't be too much of a gag order.

I get the feeling though, that on this board there are people absolutely terrified that she MIGHT, just MIGHT, say, "I did fire, and hit a couple of the basT@rds, and kept firing till I ran out of ammo." I know there are stories that supposedly she didn't. Why are those any more believable than the alternative?

Bottom line, I'm willing to wait to see what she has to say. Not Elaine Donelly, and not the PC crowd. Her.

Her father, Greg Lynch, Sr. one time told reporters outside his house "We're really not supposed to talk about that subject. It's still under investigation," Later, he contradicted himself and said, "nobody has told us not to talk about this," but then consistently refused to provide details.

Lynch herself is at Walter Reed Medical Center, with military guards posted outside her door around the clock. To the best of my knowledge, nobody has been permitted to directly talk to her outside of her own family and authorized military personnel. You can call it whatever you want to, but a gag order by any other name is still a gag order.

It is true that her family has been pitched book and movie deals by all the big media conglomerates, and some of them have already begun work on the "script", but I hadn't heard that they actually had accepted a deal yet.
