That's why Ann should hone her debating skills. She doesn't explain or justify her comments well verbally and someone like Matthews discombobulates her.I,too don't like the word treason used as a blanket condemnation of the Democratic party, though I believe the progressives are dangerous, socialists, and anti the America I want. There are those in office who play footsie with the World Workers groups in anti war protests which turns my stomach. The moving force behind anti war groups are communists. Not all anti war folks are communists, however.

Mathews, as a lifelong democrat, was offended by the broad brush use of the word treason and told Ann exactly that to her face. He took it personally and thus went after Ann especially agressively.

I like Ann, but completely understand Mathews irritation.

No, but when those non-communist anti-war folks attend anti-war protests organized by communists, they become useful idiots.

I saw the interview with Matthews. Coulter was not discombobulated; Matthews was. :-)

I don't like broad-brushing the Dims, because there are in fact some who are upright, honorable folks who shun the general extremism of their party (Senator John Breaux of Louisiana, Senator Zell Miller of Georgia, former Senator Bob Kerrey of Nebraska, for example). Unfortunately, they are basically outcasts in their own party, because the Democratic party is clearly on a solid leftist tack. The main components of their party platform would shock and dismay the average Democrat of 40 years ago: abortion on demand; rampant homosexuality; fanatical anti-gun zealotry (thus they are fanatically anti-freedom); re-distribution of wealth; environmental terrorism; and absolute power for the government.

The systematic destruction of our Constitution through legislation passed by democrats and "moderate Republicans" and liberal controled courts in my mind is treason!

The reason why is because nobody challenges Matthews' tactics-- he interrupts, he doesn't allow people to answer, he argues in a really pugnacious, condescending and dishonest way. And someone should say just once, "Chris, if your so damn confident in your beliefs, occassionally let your opponents talk." Matthews is far more outrageous than O'Reilly. The way the Left describes Mccarthy is the way Matthews is. He goes after Neo-Cons like a junkyward dog, has the most lopsided panels and he unfairly targets Dick Cheney. And he hates the (conservative esp.) jews like any good Uber MC from Philly does. This man obssesses over ethnic id in a Hitlerian way, it's not normal!
