It's really amazing how Imus praises everything about MSNBC now. He constantly plugs their lineup too.

Imus's contract with MSNBC runs out in 2004. He's just playing suckup so as not to risk any problems come renewal time.

Not that he has anything to worry about. His ratings are good - often not too far off from what MSNBC's getting in PRIME TIME - and his demographics are of sterling quality, far above those of Fox or CNN. And being MSNBC, they've never been able to come up with any programming that does any better. Unless Imus's ego gets in the way and he demands a 100% salary increase or something, his renewal is certain.
