In NYC, the biggest market in the country (ABC), he's been off the air for weeks now. ABC says it's a contract dispute, but I'm not so certain.
I've never liked this guy to begin with, though I agree with most of his politics, I've always said he's the political equivalent of Howard Stern- a political shock jock. Nasty, arrogant, funny and hysterical at times, but you tire of his constant self-promotion.
I did hear an entertaining one when he was on a Friday night and was so disgusted with politics that he played old songs (or portions thereof) and remembered his older days.
Maybe he could reinvent himself as a radio DJ (not a morning host "shock jock"). Houston had a daily talk host (Alvin Van Black) who was confrontational and hung up on callers back in the 1980s. Then he morphed into the late night friendly "man about town" features host for the ABC affiliate's nightly 10PM news broadcast.
