"..then it calls the integrity of the entire sport into question."

Sport? R U $hitting me? Car racing is a SPORT? Next thing you know, you all will be calling the drivers "athletes".....

Love the crash scenes though.....

Actually, the question of whether or not it's a sport is one I wrestle with sometimes. Take the NASCAR method of picking a year-end champion. Now I was always taught that the object of a sport is to win the game/race/event. But in the NASCAR world, the object isn't to win as much as it is to be "consistent." Sure, winning is fun. You get to celebrate in the winner's circle and take home the biggest check. But you could win many more races than anyone else in a given season, and still lose the year-end championship to a guy who didn't win a single race, yet had consistent top 5 or top 10 finishes and no DNF's.

I also am curious about the question of whether or not NASCAR is the WWF on wheels or an honest sport — ummm..."sport." That's why articles on cheating in NASCAR pique my interest.
