Thank you, Colleen, for your daily support - of the Finest and of course the Military. I think we're all in agreement that the letter LadyX posted made quite an impact on the readership today.
Enough cannot be said about this community and the spirit it has. Driving around this afternoon before shopping, businesses and homes galore display yellow ribbons; flags wave from many and are on cars; the paper has a page with as many bios on military men and women as are submitted - a special form displays them on pages for all to honor.
As I related, two of our County sons have lost their life in Iraq and were accorded full page write-ups and given full military honors.
In church Sunday, the pastor acknowledged the presence of a military son home on leave for the service, having him stand - and then added, "And all our military and veterans please stand, too, so we can honor you as well."
How blessed we are, not having any "PC" cloud hanging over us!
