Sergeant Shultz and Berlusconi

ROME -- Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who owns Italy's largest private television network, said yesterday that his controversial Nazi jibe at a German politician had been inspired by the 1960s comedy ''Hogan's Heroes.''

Berlusconi set off a diplomatic storm in the European Parliament on Wednesday when he told Martin Schulz, a parliamentarian who had criticized him, that he would be perfect playing a concentration camp guard in a film.

When Berluscoi made the comment...I immedately thought he meant Shultz of Hogans Heros. The funny thing is that a German TV network has been running Hogans Heros for a number of months now, and I think a lot of the 15-25 year-olds realize the connection. These guys over 40...haven't watched it and don't get the connection.

strange..wasn't it hitlery in her first weeks as senator playing schultz.."I know nothing..I see nothing"..when it came to her hubby and brothers selling pardons..just thought i would mention that..
