What does one do in a situation like this? Does one pour some coca cola on the ground and say, "this is for my homie..."

Thanks for passing on the sad news. I've been a lurker for years, but this prompted me to sign up. This is my first post, so please bear with me if I mess it up!
We first saw GMBC with a group of 40 other missionaries and kids in Kenya, about 1985. Most of the people there worked in remote areas of Kenya or Uganda. Everyone had their Land Rover stories, and fully understood why Mpudi called it "the AntiChrist". N!xau reminded us of friends among the Pokot, Turkana, Karamajong or Ik.
Years later, while home on furlough, we watched it again with our kids, and a niece and nephew who were visiting. For weeks thereafter, the boys would carry on the dialog, "Take him to the helicopter", "I don't want to talk about it", "Ai, yai, yai, yai, yai!".
The gentle little bushman made us laugh until our sides ached, not at him, but with him, and occasionally at ourselves. GMBC is the funniest movie I've ever seen. It is also the very best cross-cultural training film I've ever seen.
Please join me in a toast (Coca-Cola, of course) to N!xau.

Welcome!
It just so happens that I have a glass of classic CocaCola at my side. A toast to N!xau, who created another classic.

Yeah, the little bugger was great.
A natural and good man who's goodness shined through the film.

Ah yes, the AntiChrist. Had a friend in Tanzania with an old beater Land Rover and he called it the AntiChrist. I didn't make the connection 'til now.
I've seen the movie at least a half a dozen times and watched it again a few months ago...still chuckle all the way through the darn thing.

Me and my freinds still call each other "Gonjo" after a scene in the movie where Mpudi (the bearded mechanic) calls the landrover (Antichrist) a "son of a mboro gonjo" (whatever that means). Yeah, great movie.
