Carlo, you're killing me! LOL! I'm one of those who can read a recipe and "taste" the final result. It comes in handy when I want to make up something of my own, too.

But right now, I'm drooling thinking about this Chicago Style Pizza.

That seafood pasta dish is excellent, BTW!! We're both waiting for it to settle on down so we'll have room for the chok-lit delight that awaits our eating it. We're too stuffed at the moment for desert. LOL!!

The pizza recipe and the Italian Sausage one are printed off and WILL be created later this week. YUM!! Thank you!!!!!!!

Thanks for the ping, carlo and for generously sharing both advice and 'healthy' recipes. (^:

Chocolate...mmmm!

Have you seen any studies analyzing the effects of birth control pills in the water supply? I'm thinking it has a wee bit to do with the transgenderization of America.

Also waiting for the envirals to come out against the newspaper industry (heh). It takes a forest to publish a Sunday NY Times. Not a peep from the tree huggers.

Viagra: 16 Million Men world wide take the pill, 9 pills per second are consumed.

Yes ED is caused mainly by coronary artery disease, hardening of the arteries.

Diet and exercise with proper supplememts should stave off ED and "adropause" does affect men in their early 50's.

When men go for open-heart surgery, they bypass the bad arteries with ones from your leg and it's NOT just the arteries in your heart which are affected, it's your whole body, calcium is deposited in any artery which is damaged, "anywhere" in the body.

Chelation Therapy is a choice for many, a protein EDTA is used to chelate the Calcium and other minerals in the body this process cleans out ALL blood vessels. It's been used for years successfully and cleans out blood vessels, "everywhere".

There is also a new treatment for heart disease which may help ED, as a side effect, as well, it's called EECP.

Prevention is always the key. So, let's adopt healthy eating and exercise practices and stay off those carbs.

ANISE, THE SEXUAL EQUIVALENT TO DYNAMITE!!!

Why does it not surprise me that the ancient Romans were not only the conquerors of the known world, they were, most importantly, the rulers of the sexual flame. As far back in history as we can determine, the need for a male or female aphrodisiac has been the prize by which many who created recipes thought to induce sexual stimulation, were measured and rewarded with unbelievable wealth and fame.

The ancient Romans knew this, the Greeks and Egyptians worshiped at the alter of love potions, and the Asians created an entire industry devoted exclusively to finding the secret of the sexual hard drive. It was well known early on, that a  woman's sexual appetite could be enhanced by eating certain foods. The secret therefore was determining what foods best achieved the goal, an aphrodisiac that rendered her helpless to his charms.

Anise, or Pimpinella Anisum Umbelliferae, to call it by its correct name, has been used by humans in a wide variety of roles, not the least being its reputation as a powerful aphrodisiac. Found in detailed texts from the sixth century B.C., Pythagoras, the mathematician and philosopher, spent countless hours contemplating the uses of anise. He believed that simply holding this herb in your palms, could prevent seizures in epileptics... sheeesh, he sounds like could have qualified as my CPA. One century later, Hippocrates, the grandfather of modern medicine, prescribed a more reasonable use for anise and recommended it for coughs.

Held is such high esteem, Anise was widely cultivated for its fragrance, flavor and other medicinal properties. However, it was as THE SEXUAL EQUIVALENT TO DYNAMITE, proven so valuable that the local tax collector would accept Anise in place of the coin of the realm.

Smelling anise enhances relaxation, sleep patterns, emotional balance and even a sense of humor. It relieves stress from overwork. But if there were a top ten list of the qualities of Anise as an aphrodisiac, it may be what it does to remove the most common sexual inhibitor   DRUM ROLL PLEASE ...
The #1 reason Anise is the sexual secret weapon of choice... IT CURES A HEADACHE

Anise Peanuts

  • 2 cups (500 ml) raw peanuts* without shells, removal of skins from peanuts unnecessary.
  • 3 1/2 cups (900 ml) water
  • 5 whole star anise**
  • 4 tsp (20 ml) Szechwan peppercorns**
  • 4 Tbs (60 ml) soy sauce
  • A 2 inch (5 cm) piece of fresh ginger root unpeeled, cut into 3 or 4 pieces
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) hot pepper flakes (optional)
1) Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
2) Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid is absorbed.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.  Will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
Makes about 3 cups (750 ml).
* Available in Asian specialty shops and health food stores
** Available in the spice section of finer supermarkets and Asian specialty shops

If birth control pills are making it into our drinking water, as suggested in this liberal toilet paper.. http://www.emagazine.com/january-february_2003/0103gl_health.html , and through all of the filters and chemicals we add for safety, that problem would certianly be on a list of things to worry about, but not anywere near the top..YUCK... LOL

Rosemary's Baby Garlic Rib Roast with Sexy Jasmine Rice
The smaller the bulb of Garlic, the more pungent the flavor.  This recipe celebrates the full bodied aroma of roasted garlic and Rosemary. Coupled with Jasmine, you had better rest up before dinner, there may not be time for the dessert... breathing deep
It's this easy;
  • 6 - 8 lbs/ well trimmed beef rib roast, small end (3 to 4 ribs)
Seasoning rub;
  • 1 T dried rosemary, crushed
  • 5-8 tiny cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. fresh ground green peppercorns... ok, ok, you can use black nighties as well
Heat oven to 350° F.

Combine seasoning ingredients; press evenly into surface of roast. Place roast, fat side up, in shallow roasting pan. Insert ovenproof meat thermometer so tip is centered in thickest part of beef, not touching bone or resting in fat. Do not add water or cover.

Roast 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 hours for medium rare; 2-3/4 to 3 hours for medium doneness.

Remove roast when meat thermometer registers 135° F for medium rare, 150° F for medium. Let stand 15 minutes. Temperature will continue to rise to 145° F for medium rare, 160° F for medium.

JASMINE "Sacred Love" RICE

Jasmine, is one of my personal favorite fragrances. I have Jasmine vines growing everywhere around my home.  It has a warm, musky undertone, that blends well with everything it comes in contact.. Aside from being an extraordinary antidepressant, it is also known in many parts of the world as the fragrance of Sacred Love.... WOW.. Think about that... Sacred Love, and just how long has it been since that happened?  It is an ancient favorite of the Arabs, Indians and Chinese. It was introduced from Persia to Europe in the sixteenth century.

Cooking Jasmine Rice

Cooking Jasmine Rice is very easy and convenient. As a rule, just add the same amount of measured rice with the same amount of measured water, turn on heat, cover with tightly fitted lid and wait. Tic Toc Tic Toc
TIP TIP TIP . . .
In cooking steamed Jasmine Rice, due to her soft cooking nature, rice needs time to settle down in steam for 15-20 minutes after being cooked. During this setting time, do not lift cover, as rice needs steam to set for perfection. This resting time will make rice form a better shape, and who doesn't need that, and thoroughly cook, thus not stick to the pot.

Your salad sounds delightful, but it would not be romantic or sensual in my house -- it would put me in the hospital. (Major shrimp allergy.) Do you have any other suggestions?

Ummmm, sure you wanna promote this kind of thing carlo?
Aren't men in enough trouble as it is?
Some might even say publishing this amalgam is the epitome of irresponsibility, y'know. ;^)

I mean it took just one of those ingredients (petchuli [oil?]) to set the hook in me so thoroughly its lasted for 26 years.

...geshhhh. {g}

OK, I hear ya, here is the Real McCoy, a Sensual Salad, with a real Bonus!

Sage is nature's Lazy Boy lounger, as a super relaxant. It's uplifting aroma is sweetly herbaceous and dreamy floral. Used by the ancient Egyptians to cure women of infertility, their dried leaves were considered sacred in Cleo's days. The Chinese still use it as a jump start on love, as well as...ta da...medicinally for dandruff... LOL
Sage and Avocado Salad
  • 1 avocado, pitted and cut in 1 inch chunks
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1 TB finely chopped fresh sage leaves
  • 1 TB apple cider vinegar salad greens for 3
  • 1 TB sunflower seeds
Combine avocado, tomato, sage, and vinegar. Arrange salad greens on 3 plates. Divide the avocado mixture into thirds and place in the middle of the bed of greens. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds and serve.
Serves 3
