Anyhoot, QM enables highly accurate predictions to be made about the outcomes of physical interactions. I gather most physicists are just so happy that it "works" that they don't care about why it works. It's a kind of "don't ask, don't tell" kinda thing.... :^)

'Why it works' isn't a scientific question. Most scientists eschew philosophy. A few of us actually take some joy in actively bashing it.
