Don't call the game ... God hasn't played His Hand --- yet !
Nothing an evolutionist could say would impress me !
It's always your move --- check !
Evolution is an urban legend popular among the unscientific who don't know a theory from fact !
Real science is coming ... designeduniverse.com --- evolution is a fraud pepetuated by the ignorant !
Just reading the Bible the founding fathers plainly knew this beast would arrive and cover - tyrannize the nation but we would have to deal with it ... so we are -- will !
designeduniverse.com ... the obituary of evolution penned by freepers ...
yours truly !

I was truly hoping you would take the time and look at the site with an open mind. Oh well. I noticed you said: "Nothing an evolutionist could say would impress me". Sigh. I will say this yet again: Evolutioninst is not a correct term. That implies a faith based paradigm. The proper way to look at it is, I accept the scientific Theory of Evolution from the evidence that supports it. No faith involved. Anyway, thank you for the exchange, and have a great day.

I really don't have the time, but 3 is not too difficult. You will just question their bonifedes and pooh pooh anything they say but here goes.

I'm not familiar with these but I will look into them. If I find anything interesting, I'll try to find time to post about it. Thanks.

Some even admit there is a God, but believe evolution.

I don't "admit" there is a God, I proudly proclaim it. And I believe in evolution, as the best currently-available scientific explanation of how God created us.

One of the statements you made in #225 is one that you MUST reconsider. You say you believe in God and evolution. I'm sure you've heard the verse that says even the devil believes in God. You are a fool, the Bible says, if you don't. The question is, DO YOU BELIEVE GOD? Is God a liar? When Jesus spoke of Adam and the Garden, was he lying?

I am a Jew, not a Christian, so you and I will just have to agree to disagree as to the authority of the Christian Scriptures ("New Testament" to you).

If we evolved from scum or apes, why didn't Jesus just tell us?

Again, I am a Jew, not a Christian, but I will tell you what one Rabbi wrote [I am paraphrasing]: "The Torah tells us that God formed man from the dust of the earth. Where He took that dust from is not an essential part of the Jewish faith."

There is not one transitional form!(I already know you will say there are many, but that is a lie, and most scientists agree that the fossil record shows NONE!)

Here you truly are wrong. There are literally thousands of transitional fossils, and it is certainly untrue that "Most scientists agree that the fossil record shows NONE!" The credentialed scientists who dispute this fact are a tiny, tiny minority. There are, for example, long sequences of fossils showing the transitions from fish to amphibians, from amphibians to reptiles, from reptiles to mammals, from land mammals to whales, and on and on. A few of these fossils are collected here.

I still see references to Piltdown Man, Java Man, Lucy, etc, all of which have been proven to be frauds!

I challenge you to find one science book in the last 50 years that has claimed that Piltdown Man is anything but a fake. And Java Man and Lucy have never been proven to be fakes.

I challenge to to examine yourself to see if you Believe God!

As the product of a Jewish education, I have read Genesis numerous times, in the original Hebrew. It is a beautiful book full of very profound truths about human nature and about humanity's relations to its Creator. It is not, however, a science book, nor was it ever, IMHO, intended to be.

Thanks for a thoughtful and respectful discussion. God bless!

Can ' science ' supercede theology ?

Which should explain the other ?

Do you think they are a hopeless garbled mess and you should keep shooting from the hip ?

No; nor can theology supersede science.

Which should explain the other ?

Two separate fields, each with its own role.

Do you think they are a hopeless garbled mess and you should keep shooting from the hip ?

Where do you see me "shooting from the hip"?

# 1 ... theology (( truth )) can trump false science !

# 2 ... Isn't that the definition of schizoprenia --- two opposite competing ' unintegrated ' entities in the same body ?

# 3 ... Shooting from the hip --- mindless unexplained contradictory --- see # 2 above !

A calous is awakened by overworking our skin.

Overworking our "own understanding" produces a caloused heart.

The Holy Spirit has the solution for a caloused heart, TRUTH; the spiritual pumice rock.

Truth is awakened when we believe Christ died for our sins.

... I only jumped into this one because I was surprised at how readily bondserv participated in his fantasy.

As RadioAstronomer mentions, the other thing is that gore3000 won't ever admit a mistake, no matter how incidental or how obvious.

The points are intimately related. Creos, you see, are saving souls, fishing for men, fighting the Holy War. One must never undercut a brother warrior in combat with the heathen infidel dogs. The blind eye must go to the telescope no matter how ludicrous or offensive the performance of the creo involved.

Some try very hard to come across as reasonable, but if one of the trolls, loons, goons, or buffoons mugs you, don't expect the "nice" ones to call a cop.

Hey! The two rovers and the Planet B orbiter are all supposed to end up at Mars in about 6 months. And the Japanese are going to try again to measure the magnetic field. Should be fun.
