Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America,"

I got as far as that and thought 'well duh!' It's one thing to criticize America - it's another to pervert its freedoms by turning them on end and ultimately taking them away through a socialist/communist agenda.

That is the problem with your party.
You don't believe it even when it happens in front of you.
Sheldon Silver runs his party here in New York as if it's his personal fiefdom.
This was even reported in the local communist newspaper The Times Herald Record. Jake Gunther attempted a bit of a coup trying to at least curtail Silver's activities. Gunther has been vocal in the past against Silver's attitudes.
By the way, Sheldon Silver tells the rest of the Democrats what they'll do, and they do it or face his reprisals.
This too has been reported by the ultra-liberal THR newspaper.
Gunther's attempt to unseat "Lord Silver" failed, largely because the rest of the Democrats are Chicken$#its and didn't want to stick their necks out.
Such is life for the Democrats in the New York assembly!

Yes.
In the 1996 elections, those of us on post WERE NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE by his orders.
How legal is that?
A man who loved his country would mnot have done that.

Yes he did.
We were barred from leaving our barracks.
Voting was held across from our barracks.
Thus, we were not allowed to vote by orders.
Hogwash on you.

Absentee ballots?
What absentee ballots?
He also made sure that anything like that was conspicuously absent UNTIL THE DAY THE POLLS OPENED.
That's mail tampering.

Why are you making all of these broad, sweeping statements yet refusing to examine the fundamental opportunism behind the Democrat party's motives? Methinks you overstate Coulter's "claims," too. Coulter is just too smart for you Libs, and you can´t handle that.

Instead, why don't you focus on all the many ways Congressional Democrats and Clinton have tried to weaken our military, deny our soldiers voting rights at posts overseas and stifle anyone who disagrees with Democrat leaders as un-American and "members of the vast right-wing conspiracy."

And let's not forget the New York state Democrats´ shindig a few years back -- just one little example -- where the color-guard troops carrying the flag were spit upon.

"Are they? Were the isolationists of the '30s aiding Hitler? I don't find these issues to be as clearcut as you do. "

The isolationists were not having huge televised protest demonstrations that the enemy could use for propaganda, for one.

The present anti-war crowd is really an anti-Bush crowd. It's OK when a Democrat like Clinton bombs an aspirin factory to take the media focus off his problems, but let Bush send troops to Afghanistan and Iraq and they feel compelled to go into their act. I guess you didn't know that several openly communist organizations funded and organized a number of the demonstrations and they bolstered the turn-out with paid demonstrators.

Don't you know Saddam was relishing every minute of those demonstrations. It emboldens his troops into hanging in there and fighting harder because they think America is about to cave in due to public pressure. I wonder how many casualties were caused by Iraqi troops that would have given up had they not thought the U.S. was about to withdraw.

On another note, have you noticed how the liberal Democrats cosy up to Fidel Castro? To this day it's almost impossible to get them to say anything negative about any communist regime.

I think it's also important to note that there are two kinds of Democrats. There are the rank and file Democrat voters who are good citizens and go through life trying to do what's right. Then there are the Democrat politicians who have thrown away any last vestiges of decency and character for the sole purpose of ascending to power. They get by with doing things that would get a conservative thrown in jail and the liberal media gives them a free ride as usual.

I think that, generally, when we speak of liberals, we're referring to the politicians and their sycophants like Joe Conason who have this obsession with getting their faction back in power thru dishonest means.

A liberal dare not open his eyes too wide or he will see the network of extremely dishonest people he is supporting. How much of that crap can you blind your eyes to before it reaches the breaking point? A lot of us here have been through that and washed our hands of the whole ugly mess.

P.J., you need to get out more... or maybe open your other eye (cause I'm assuming you've got one shut). You seem to be missing a lot of what has been going on.

This is not the hour for "rose colored glasses".

He was a Democrat.
And as for smell test, this was again documented as happening on some popsts back during the 2000 elections.
There was a bit of a shout about it until those responsible slapped down the loudest shouters.

Have you ever served in uniform?
