It's a free country. You can definitely say whatever you want. Nowhere in my postings did I stomp on your freedom to disagree with any of us here who believe that this issue is important. In fact, you are doing the very thing you just wrongly accused me of doing by declaring that you and most Americans are really sick of hearing about this.

Your basic argument as far as I can tell is that you don't really care what the main focus of this argument is all about. But as far as you're concerned, the "Fundies" are the problem in this country.

There are at least two kinds of "Fundies".
1. Those who TRULY believe in the Bible and follow its teachings and are vocal about it
2. Those that SAY they believe in the Bible but do not follow its teachings and are vocal about it.

It is definitely obvious to me that you have a problem with both. Everyone should have a problem with #2. As for #1, you are going to have to take this up with God Himself.

Homosexuality is not the worst of all sins. Sin is sin. Every form of it, from an unkind thought to a heinous murder, is displeasing to God. We are all sinners. The only difference is that some have been forgiven because they have repented and asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior while others have not been forgiven because they have not asked.

I do not think it is right for Christians to use words like "fags", "dykes", sodomites (though this term is used in the Bible, it is not a license to use it in a hateful manner), etc. These are people. People caught up in a sinful lifestyle. Much like any of us before God had compassion on us and cleaned us up. We have to have compassion on people who are in a homosexual lifestyle and help them find the way out.

At the same time, we cannot stay silent about where society is heading. It is possible to speak up on the issue without hating in your heart.

The philosophy of "live and let live" seems like the right way but is pretty ignorant. One man practicing unrestrained freedom will surely and inevitably encroach on other's freedoms. Freedom without morality is no way to live because slowly but surely rampant evil and lawlessness will rule.

I'm not advocating the government to force morality and religion on everybody. Separation of church and state is essential. But we have to speak up and tell others that our society will quickly crumble if immorality of ALL kinds is condoned, accepted, and taught to innocent children.
