As much as I tried not to like it (I was pretty much anti-disco back in those days), there was just something about Barry White's music. It may be a cliche to say, but he had soul.
He'll be missed. Thanks for posting those songs.

Amen to your disco shout out! Some of it was trashy but the best disco had melody, rhythm, style and grace.
Unlike the electronica of today!

Shalom!
Everyone,
I am very sad to hear that Barry White passed away.
Oh...his voice was so...smoothe and soothing too.
His music was some of the Best that the 70's had to offer.
They just don't make musicians and vocalists like Barry anymore.
Prayers for his Family for comfort, grace and peace.

LOL, terrible! I used to have a big old cat, and any new cat that I got never grew to even normal size, at all. We used to say that Normie stole their growth hormones, and I really think it was true!
Poor Normie is gone, and I've only got the last little shrunken one left, I wonder what will happen when I get another cat?

There is something funny going on between multiple cats in the same household. My girlfriend had two cats. One was kind of a macho cat (even though he was spayed) and had a huge amount of personality. The other cat was extremely timid and shy. The first cat was sadly hit by a car. Since then the timid cat has become much more friendly. I know that in some other animals things like this are affected by pheromones.

I don't think that you can be my age and not know Barry's song, not if you were ever young and in love.
I went to a wedding yesterday, and when I came home, after my wife and kids had gone to bed, I pulled my old LP's out, I have the CD's, but somehow, the LP's seemed to be the right way to go.
I drank Champagne and listened to The Maestro, every note, every pop, every scratch brought back a memeory.
Damn...the good ones are leaving us behind.
Let the music play on Barry...on and on, and on, and on.
If there's a Rock and Roll heaven, that band is about to learn some Velvet Soul.

Hey that purple suit he is wearing in #64 goes with my car. He will be missed though. It's very similar to one I have (hat as well).
He will definitely be missed. His "I'm Gonna Love You" was my fraternity line's intro song at our probate stepshow as we strolled to the stage. Even though that was 1992 and we all were 19-20 year olds, it sure did set the mood for all the ladies in attendance. ;-)
You "had it together," Mr. White. Now you may be "out of sight" but you won't be out of mind (nor my CD/.mp3 collection).

I've always heard that deaths come in 3's.. but seems like lately it comes in multiples of 3's. Seems like so many high profile people are dying all at once. May they all rest in peace. They will be missed.

Another sad good-bye. I wonder if a kidney transplant could have saved him. Such a shame ...he was only 58. His velvety voice set the mood for many a romantic evening.
RIP Barry.

He had kidney disease for years, its symtoms are profuse sweating, and weight gain. He had a stroke while waiting for a kidney transplant. Then it was too late, the stroke effected the right side of his brain and he couldnt talk. Then had another stroke and died. So sad, I miss he so much. He gave us so much love with his music. God Bless, Barry!
