TAPE: 'SADDAM IS ALIVE'
Arab television station al Jazeera claims to have an audio tape from Iraq's deposed leader Saddam Hussein.
On the tape, which is understood to have been recorded last month, Saddam claims he is still in Baghdad and living with a "comrade".
"I tell you that I miss you, miss you oh beloved people even though I am among you and in your ranks," he told Iraqis.
He also called on his countrymen Iraqis to protect resistance fighters and not help the "US infidel occupiers".
With attacks on US and British soldiers increasing, the voice addressed Iraqis, saying: "Oh brothers and sisters, I relay to you good news. Jihad (holy war) cells and brigades have been formed."
On the quick collapse of his regime, the voice said, "We have sacrificed the government. But we will not sacrifice our principles or surrender.
"We refused to hold onto power if that meant submitting to the American threats. They wanted to occupy us without a fight and destroy our pride."
Interesting. Does Al Jazeera have English-language broadcasts?
By the way, I think it's a real stretch to call this "news"; "disinformation" is probably more like it. Of course, that's true of a lot of so-called news.
No
but it was clear
from the context
what it was all about,
the tape played
with Satan's favorite photograph
of the Saddam double
in the background.
Al Jazeera does not have English language broadcasts
but they have lots of excerpts
from American TV and films
both 'serious' news broadcasts
and perverted Hollywood filth
in English
with Arabic subtitles.
It is clear
from this
that al-Jazeera
(and
no doubt
the Arab world
in general)
is psychotically obsessed
with American culture.
