What is wrong with that? Aren't they allowed to have guns? Aren't they allowed to join militias? Aren't they allowed to patrol our borders? I don't get it.
Is this group against any or all of those things? If so, why?

That one does need to be worded better. I think he meant it in the sense of "disturbed that the government is so derelict that local civilians have to band together and do the job for them."
If the truth be known, the groups here in Arizona have two primary purposes: aid the working Border Patrol agents as extra eyes and ears; and rub the government's nose in its ridiculous shortcomings and braindead policies.
