The religion taught in that school is a nightmare.There are evil people who call themselves Christian,Hindu,etc.In today's Islamic schools these conditions are not the usual,true..The message of hatred against the Jews and the infidels is pretty much standard.If a Christian converts to Islam, there is no death sentence.If a Muslim converts to another faith there is.

I believe it's a religion in need of modernization. That's being recognized. Here's a quote from another post by JohnJuang2 today, "Petition to Muslims":

Change takes time. It would be nice if it could be done over night. I don't know if you've been following the student demonstrations in Iran stories, but one fear the mullahs and ayatollahs there apparently have, is that the younger generation is turning away from Islam. There is an increased interest in pre-islamic religions. (Christianity among them). Everyone isn't a brutal zealot. And there are positive breezes in the wind.
