I believe George would have fibbed to get a second slice of this pie!
CHERRY PIE OH MY
- 3 cups frozen, or fresh pitted tart cherries*
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (depending upon the tartness of the cherry)
- 1/4 cup flour
- dash salt
1) Mix cherries, sugar, flour and salt.
2) Pour into pastry-lined pie plate or tin.
3) Dot with 1 Tbs. butter and cover with second crust. Crimp edges.
Bake at 400 F for 50-55 minutes
*There's about 3 cups of frozen cherries in a pound.
