So far, I'd go with McClintock if I had my druthers.

I agree, but I don't think he has the name recognition.

We face a huge problem here folks. Anyone with $3500 can be on the ballot. If we divide the vote too many ways one even half popular RAT can steal the show.

This applies, regardless of when the recall/election is held.

You can bet the dems see this opportunity. There will be just one major dem candidate.

And due to the quest for ideoligical purity, the Republicans will have several. If that is the case, the dem will win, and the whole effort will be wasted.

In the best case, McClintock will be the sole candidate, with STRONG support from ALL other Republicans. Will Issa back down? Will Arnold? Will Riordan?

Big questions, and big consequences. The answer will determine if the party earns and gets to keep the name "the stupid party."
