Thanks for posting the President's July 4 message -- my family and I will be hearing it in person tomorrow at the US AirForce Museum in Dayton. [NOTE: FoxNews and C-span will probably carry the speech live at approximately noon EST!]

Having T-Bones as well tomorrow! Doesn't get any better than that -- mine are from Oklahoma beef! Mushrooms on the side, with baked potato, fresh green beans from my garden, and fresh salad also from the garden!

Enjoy the Air Force Museum and the President! I was there when President Nixon dedicated the first building of the current Air Force Museum as I worked in the Command Section of Materiel Command and they gave us VIP passes. It was really something to see AF One parked on the tarmack at Wright-Patt at the time and get some up close camera shots of the President speaking at the dedication.

What I didn't like that day were the Hippie, dirty, long haired anti-war demonstrators that were putting daisies in the rifles of the Security Police that were all along the entrance! If I hadn't witnessed it personally, I wouldn't have believed it but then the pictures of them with the daisies were in the next day's paper. They were arrested and hauled off but having Antioch (Berkley of the East) from Yellow Springs so close to Wright-Patt was a royal pain in the neck on more than one occasion!

We always visit the Museum when the kids and I go back to my Mom's who lives north of Dayton. It is one of our favorite places except for the Reds -- our visits are planned around the Reds schedule.

If memory serves me right, I believe that President Bush will be the first President since President Nixon to visit the Museum. Haven't lived in the area for the past 20+ years but would imagine my Mom would have said something!
