Four years ago, I camped at Point Sublime on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Around 6 PM I had hiked a few 100 feet down the lip when a sudden lightning storm hit. I scuttled along like a crab back to my car with the hair standing all over me and strikes to the left and right. A scary experience!

Houston was recovering from a hurricane and we hadn't had electricity for 5-6 days, when Bible study went on as planned at my daughter's house. One of the persons attending was an elder from our church.

Just as he took his turn praying, BOOM! The electricity came back on. Needless to say, we then gave him a clever nickname - but only used it (in good fun) behind his back!
