[history]
The activists who are trying to recall Gov. Gray Davis from office said Wednesday they had turned in enough signatures to qualify for the ballot, and predicted they will surpass their goal of 1.2 million signatures by next week.
Sacramento anti-tax crusader Ted Costa, who is coordinating the signature-gathering drive on behalf of three separate anti-Davis committees, said his group had turned in 924,847 signatures. The measure needs 897,158 valid signatures of registered voters to qualify for the ballot.

No stopping this train. It is so much fun to watch. I would love to be a fly on Grayout's wall as he grows nuttier each day, his political future being totally destroyed--whatever the result of the vote...

Barnett said he worries it will begin an era ``of political mass destruction.''As opposed to regular " mass destruction" which Davis has well underway. Davis' policies have caused considerable harm to California and the Nation as a whole.

``They've been making these claims all along that have never matched up to reality,'' said Carroll Wills, a spokesman for Taxpayers Against the Governor's Recall.Would the press do me a favor and stop quoting this Union Filth without pointing out that he is indirectly on Davis' payroll and represents taxpayers in the same way that AntiANWAW Drilling "Environmentalist" lobby reprensents my dog.

This is like staging a mutiny on the Titanic - while it is sinking! The PRK is hopeless: the Democratic controlled legislature is not going to cut spending, esp. not for a Republican Governor!

Ca broke? That's laughable... You must be reading Mad Magazine...Do you know what the GDP of CA is? A trillion dollar economy. That is more than ten percent of the entire country. Broke? You wish you were as broke. Heck I wish I had those kind of problems. There is no problem with revenues my friend. In fact we took in 25 percent more tax revenue this year than last. The problem is that the idiots in Sacramento spent 28 percent more this year than last. This deficit is a bump in the road that will be smoothed out by ejecting Dimwit Davis and cutting ten percent off the budget! Heck my ten year old nephew could solve the budget woes of Sacramento.
