Fringe - maybe

BUT is it too far fetched to believe that if everyone who is conservative really stood up for what they believe - forcing the issue with 3rd partys or with our VOTE, we could at least make an impact in the right direction?

If you think it is too far fetched, then I guess it's time to shut FR down and all of us give up all hope.

P.S. If the ture conserviative is such a minority "fringe" group, then why is it that the majority of the people I run into, for the most part, have very similar political beliefs? And don't give me the "birds of a feather" excuse. I am referring to general population in public. Even more funny are those with very conservative leanings, yet are die-hard Democrat voters....

Most of the "true conservatives" vote Republican. That is where they are to be found. If it wasn't so, then the CP would be the governing party. There is also no way to have a majority with right wingers alone, so you need centrists, and under Bush, the center is shifting rightward.

No matter what you feel, there aren't enough of "your" types to govern.
