Thanks so much for posting this. I just registered my late father, a Navy veteran of WWII. What a great way to celebrate Independence Day!

Thanks for posting.

Here's another way some FReeper could help our veterans. The Idaho State Veterans Cemetery is looking for someone to direct it. I've thought of applying, but don't have the cemetery/funeral experience they require. I figure one of us good FReepers would be excellent in this area.

This deserves another ping, so I'm pinging others with big ping lists, too.
More folks need to know about it so they can add their WWII military family members' info to the registry. I found the WWII registry link a couple of weeks ago and added my dad's info to the registry.
I was going to post a thread and found you already had done so, chance33_98. Thanks!

If you leave out ALL the formatting, it will make the link for you. Type it just like you would in Word.

I missed this thread the first time around, and thought you all might be interested...
You can add your family members who served in military in WWII here.
To: Howlin
THANKS so much for the PING.....I just added my Father (now deceased) who fought in the Battle of Leyte (Navy). Got to add a few more later.

Thanks..... I have a friend that is completing a Veterans Memorial for their Alumni at the high school from which he graduated. I'll pass this on as it will fit into their process very well.

When you entered your father, what did you do about an address and an email? Or is that for the person who is registering them?

Thanks for the second chance. I'm going to register my late father and my late uncle.

Thank you, Howlin.
Sometimes I just don't know what I'd do without you :)

Not me this time; tgsl bumped it back to the top, and I'm glad she did. Threads like these are the best part of FR, IMO.
