At least, I'm *assuming* Google was hacked. If not, there's a serious left-wing bias at Google.

Har Har!! Here's what you'll find...
|
These Weapons of Mass Destruction cannot be displayed
|
The weapons you are looking for are currently unavailable. The country might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your weapons inspectors mandate. |
Please try the following:
- Click the
Regime change button, or try again later.
- If you are George Bush and typed the country's name in the address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. (IRAQ).
- To check your weapons inspector settings, click the UN menu, and then click Weapons Inspector Options. On the Security Council tab, click Consensus. The settings should match those provided by your government or NATO.
- If the Security Council has enabled it, The United States of America can examine your country and automatically discover Weapons of Mass Destruction.
If you would like to use the CIA to try and discover them, click Detect weapons - Some countries require 128 thousand troops to liberate them. Click the Panic menu and then click About US foreign policy to determine what regime they will install.
- If you are an Old European Country trying to protect your interests, make sure your options are left wide open as long as possible. Click the Tools menu, and then click on League of Nations. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Head in the Sand section and check settings for your exports to Iraq.
- Click the
Bomb button if you are Donald Rumsfeld.

there's a serious left-wing bias at Google. I don't know about Google, but there IS a serious left-wing, pro-jihad bias at DMOZ. There are a number of pro-Israel Jewish religious sites listed as HATE SITES.
For that reason I do not like to use DMOZ but it wouldn't surprise me if FreeRepublic was listed there as a "hate site." They really hate a lot of people.

Those of us with the incredible new Mac OSX Safari browser don't have to "go" to Google. We have the Google search functionality built into our browsers....sniff, sniff (sound of champagne being poured into crystal glass...)

Nah, it's just somebody who understands the way Google ranks pages and who has exploited that knowledge so their page will pop-up.
It was done much better by the folks who made a page that responded to searches for "French Military Victories" with a fake Google page saying: "Could not be found. Did you mean 'French Military Defeats?' "

To a leftist, a "hate site" is any site that disagrees with their Statist agenda. Demonization and ad hominem are their stock in trade.

Even though it is leftist coup de gras, you have to admit that it is funny. It is kind of rare to find a leftie with a sense of humor.

Ok, but whatever prompted you to put those particular search words into Google in the first place?

Expect more hacking this Sunday, according to the NY Daily News:
Sunday hack-a-thon |
|
|
Naughty nerds are planning their own Olympics. Government officials warned yesterday that hackers are expected to compete this Sunday to see who can vandalize the most Web sites in six hours. The cyberscare erupted after the mysterious organizers of the so-called Defacers Challenge launched their own Internet site describing the contest rules and how to register. The site later was shut down. The saboteurs encouraged hackers to try to vandalize as many as 6,000 Web sites each. The winning prize: 500 megabytes of online storage space and a domain name of choice. The contest prompted Internet Security Systems Inc., a private company that works with the Office of Homeland Security, to raise its Internet Threat Level to blue (level 2) from green (level 1). "We emphasize that all Web site administrators should ensure that their sites are not vulnerable," ISS warned. Lynn Rasic, spokeswoman for the New York State Office of Public Security, said there is some evidence that hackers already have started searching for vulnerable sites. Bill Hutchinson

At least, I'm *assuming* Google was hacked. Don't know much about the net, do you?
Next time, try looking at the site you actually LAND ON!

You asked Google to search for a term, it found it, why is that a "hack"?

Good question. I found a post on a local left-wing listserv bringing it to people's attention.

It was done much better by the folks who made a page that responded to searches for "French Military Victories" with a fake Google page saying: "Could not be found. Did you mean 'French Military Defeats?' "I believe you mean this one
Did you mean: french military defeats
No standard web pages containing all your search terms were found.
Your search - french military victories - did not match any documents.
Suggestions:
- Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
- Try different keywords.
- Try more general keywords.
- Try fewer keywords.
Also, you can try
Google Answers for expert help with your search.

I have GOOGLE toolbar. I have installed Google search function onto my toolbar. It kills pop up windows. Go to Google and Click on Services & Tools at the bottom of the home page. Then click on the Toolbar and install it. Kills MOST pop up windows. Tsk Tsk (the sound of coffee being guzzled)
