The weather is hot and dry and the mountain north of Tucson took a turn for the worse. The fire made its way around a fireline and turned back up the mountain. Containment has dropped from 70% to 60%, and it's threatening to run away from the firefighters today.

70-90 miles SE of the fire, here in the San Pedro Valley, the smoke is hanging over everything. We saw it last night at sunset (amazing how a terrible thing can look so beautiful!) and knew something big was burning. We had no idea the fire had blazed up again.

We're safe, but the firefighters are going to have their hands full for awhile now.
