LOS ANGELES (AP) - Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina was endorsed for president by fellow Democrat Herb Wesson, speaker of the California State Assembly, Edwards' campaign announced Wednesday.
Wesson, of Culver City, will co-chair Edwards' California campaign.
"Americans need a Democrat in the White House, and John Edwards is the candidate who can beat George Bush," Wesson said in a statement.

Well, why shouldn't he?
He's spent so much time out of this state campaigning that he should be perfectly familiar with ONE of the 49... why not California?
