CA: Edwards endorsed for president by Cal Assembly speaker (Wesson)

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina was endorsed for president by fellow Democrat Herb Wesson, speaker of the California State Assembly, Edwards' campaign announced Wednesday.

Wesson, of Culver City, will co-chair Edwards' California campaign.

"Americans need a Democrat in the White House, and John Edwards is the candidate who can beat George Bush," Wesson said in a statement.

Oh, yes, maybe Edwards can do for the USA what Wesson has done for (to) California. (Is Wesson a trial lawyer too?)

Well, why shouldn't he?
He's spent so much time out of this state campaigning that he should be perfectly familiar with ONE of the 49... why not California?
