I don't think the reward for lying ought to be complete trust... I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

There's a big difference between those two. I don't afford anyone I know only via the Internet my "complete trust." Being a Freeper -- like 100,000 other people, minus banned trolls, does not require great trust. I think giving the benefit of the doubt is warranted here -- and if 4mycountry is still being deceptive, so what? Who is harmed? You are not hiring him/her to babysit your kids. FReeping does not require 3 references and a credit check. The issue can always be dealt with by the mods when and if they deem it significant.

I gave my opinion, I stand by it. You're absolutely right that "mods can deal with it" - I hope they do.

I think there is reason to review the situation and said so.
Children's participation on this board SHOULD be monitored by their parents, and if it were my board, under the circumstances where a child is/has been pretending to be an adult, I would arrange to make sure parents are aware of what's going on or prevent participation here.

If the opposite is true, an adult is pretending to be a vulnerable young girl, then I think that should be dealt with in a similar fashion.
