Well, today was a busy one at work so our virtual tour of Arizona has been delayed…just a leetle beet, eh? With the Independence Day weekend coming up, I thought I’d list some of the events going on statewide and link to some resources for finding out what’s going on and where it’s happening in the Grand Canyon State!

Fireworks to cap colorful Fourth events around the state

Prescott

"Frontier Days" in Prescott features old-time Americana, such as rodeo dances Thursday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight and the "World's Oldest Rodeo" (a name registered by the U.S. Patent Office in 1985), including competition at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. On Friday at 9 p.m., fireworks will be visible from the Rodeo Grounds, and at 9 a.m. Saturday, Gov. Janet Napolitano will attend a horse-drawn parade from Courthouse Plaza.

Bisbee
Coaster races down Tombstone Canyon will be Friday's main attraction, starting at 8:30 a.m. Mining exhibitions will be given at 2 and 4 p.m. on Brewery Avenue, and fireworks are planned at about 8 p.m. in the Warren District.
