Perhaps not, but among the things Ms. Ackerman soon learned about her future husband was that his political views were far from conservative.

Even the NY Slimes wedding announcements are biased. See, he is all right, he is a democrat now.

In case you missed it, the wedding caused a huge stink in NYC, because a high school championship baseball game was supposed to be played at Shea the same day..but it was moved because of the wedding....if you doa search on the NY Post's website...or maybe on FR..you can probably find the stories...

Note the liberal parents did not accept the potential conservative son-in-law, whereas the conservative parents accepted the potential liberal daughter-in-law with open arms.

Typical, I guess. Although never portrayed that way...

Sounds like his religion meant even less than his politics to this guy. He'll fit right into his new party.

I doubt the groom had strong political views in the first place. Until the last paragraph, the differences were all between the parents. And what is a "registered Conservative?"

And both are ardent Mets fans. But more on that later.

These two lose a ton of credibility right here!

That is some real crappy writing. I can only say:

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. May God have mercy on your soul.

They were married at Shea on June 14, a night when the Mets were out of town.

And their wedding rehearsal forced the PSAL high school baseball championship game out of Shea, and into a minor-league stadium. More liberal entitlement -- high school baseball fans were inconvenienced for the sake of pleasing a liberal congressman. Why am I not surprised that this is not mentioned in the story?
