Todd claimed on another thread that he had "inspired" you to make this a separate thread. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so disappointed that a person as ridiculous as he is is so prominent on FR (frequency-wise).
Well fund raiser will be coming shortly.... Maybe 'showboy' can take the lead and raise tons of money......

Can anybody confirm he actually said that? Because if he did, my subscriptions to the Letter and 24/7 are not long for this world.

Who mentioned anything about perfection? No human being is perfect. Not Reagan, not Bush. But I'd rather have either of those fine leaders at the helm of the USA, instead of a Clinton, a Carter, an LBJ, or a JFK!
Integrity and character do matter. PresBush, like PresReagan has both in abundance.
To: RichInOC
I need a confirmation as well. Did anyone listen today?

I suggest you watch the replay of Strom Thurmond's funeral this evening. Joe Biden and a black S.C. democrat gave outstanding eulogies. You might get some perspective on compromise and service to one's nation After reading your reply #151, I switched onto C-Span to watch Sen. Strom Thurmond's funeral proceedings. I missed Joe Biden's eulogy, but what a difference from the Clinton influenced Wellstone memorial(political pep rally). The tone was of respect for a man gone, and not of a political cause to be rabidly pursued.
Hearing "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes said it all, IMO, and I grew up in a Catholic household, where my mother said that "Amazing Grace" was a "southern song"(potestant) .
Amazing Grace
How sweet thou art
That you would save a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found

Thanks I didn't realize that history.
But I thought the treaty went forward without the US. I thought part of the rationale for the New Zealand Cow Flatulence tax was to be compliant with Kyoto.

Rush is not happy with what is going on as are principaled conservatives. I would say Fed up would be a good word to use.

It really is worth watching in its entirety, if you get C-SPAN2. It will be repeated at 8 PM eastern, tonight.
Strom planned the funeral himself. He really wanted Biden to do the eulogy. I think Biden had to do some soul-searching to do it, which is probably a good thing.
Strom was serving his country even in death. The service was moving and a balm to my soul after all of the rancor here.
To: RichInOC
Rush just said,,,,he doesn't care if the democrats are elected and it would be better because then the conservatives would hold them to account unlike Bush and his liberal democrat agenda. That's quite a damning statement for Rush to make. A lot of people are not going to be happy about it.

Not being dismissive of Reagan..... or didn't intend to be. Maybe you are a little defensive. President Bush is respective of and honors President Reagan, why shouldn't he? President Reagan was a great President.
I don't care if it was only 14 yrs ago..... The events of the last couple years have change the dynamics greatly, so to try and compare them are not realistic, imo. You are certainly entitled to your opinion also.
This country was attacked on it's own soil on 911. Maybe Reagan could have stopped it but we'll never know no matter how much you can 'assure'.
Now you have a nice day....

Are we absolutely SURE that this is what Rush said? Filtered through tlb, I'd want to check the transcript.

That'd teach him.

TLB is wrong.
I actually started working on this about 2 weeks ago...and have been in contact with other Freepers about this project, including JohnHuang2. I hesitated posting the information myself (as a thread)...but was encouraged to by Amelia and others.
So, sorry to say.....Todd wasn't 'in the loop' re: this project at all. He didn't even contribute to the 'inspiration' that caused me to start working on this project. You might say, he wasn't even a consideration, no matter what he is claiming on other threads.
If he thinks he was, allow me to use this post to tell him his assertions couldn't be farther from the truth.
