The decision to allow women into possible frontline and close combat positions, was a matter of political correctness and instituted under the PC POTUS, Bill Clinton. The damage has been done. Reversing the Clinton decision would be appropriate policy at this time. Whether that is going to happen is anyones guess, but I wouldn't count on it.

Any liberties taken by the US Army in exaggerating the Jessica Lynch story, didn't do Private Lynch or the Army any good in the long run.

Socially engineering the military is the Holy Grail of the Left . It is 1 of the last traditional outpost .
I'm more curious to see what change in policy will come down the pipes considering Mr. Rumsfeld's favourable position with respect to asymmetrical warfare wich I happen to agree with .
Should prove to be very interesting .
