I don't see this as slamming the demonrats at all...trudeau is just spouting the same old tired demonrat rhetoric about how they and they alone always stand up for the little guy even if it harms the beloved party (yeah, right). I never have liked dooooonesbury and I don't like his drawings of his characters...they all look like they need advice on how to apply mascara.

The point I was trying to make was that Trudeau wasn't making fun of Dean, he was making fun of people who think that Dean will split the party.I totally agree with you. I think your right, and that that is the point of the cartoon. I just think its strange that he supports Kerry. Him and Kerry go back a long long time, straight to Trudeau's college days. I believe Kerry had already graduated when Trudeau got in (note, he got in one year after George W. Bush)to the Skull and Bones society. They were also active as alumni in helping other skulls.
Him and Kerry would become good friends, and are still friends to this day. Its puzzling that somone he isn't supporting somone he has known for around 30 years, and is instead supporting somone who has insulted his buddy Kerry.
