All this reminded me to go over and sign the petition for the re-release of "Song of the South", which Disney has not shown since 1986, I believe. One has to buy it in the U.K and have it converted from PAL format or find a used copy.

Thanks for the tip re: "Song of the South". A very interersting site. I discovered I have another banned item, a 78 record of "Two Black Crows" that came with a wind-up Victrola we got from a relative years ago. I'd better be alert for a Jesse Jackson posse which may descend at any moment and snatch it, it's that politically incorrect.

My kids thought it was hilarious when they were little, as did my husband when he was small. Guess somebody forgot to tell them all that they were supposed to think it was racist or demeaning to blacks.
