I've entertained that question for most of the last decade, and I'm still not sure. I am becoming more sure that most people cannot be pushed to that point becasue they just don't care enough about anything.

But as a good friend once said: In the meantime, I'll practice my marksmanship.

An economic collapse would get most Americans to finally pull their heads out of their A$&, and social liberals and self proclaimed economic conservatives will have plenty to worry about when this happens.

What do you think it would take to actually push most of us to that point?

After careful contemplation of this very subject I've sadly come to the inescapable conclusion that as long as Bread and Circuses are readily available, the answer is 'nothing'. I used to think otherwise, but I really don't any more.

I find it funny to see all the threads bemoaning the rape of the Constitution by the supreme Court in light of this latest ruling concerning gays, but remember the silence from many of the same people at many of the other similar injustices being carried out daily in the name of both the war on drugs, and the war on terrorism.

What would it take? That is a huge variable. My recommendation is to prepare yourself, like the Minutemen of our past. Stock supplies, arm yourself, practice, stash emergengy arms and ammo, keep a weapon and packful of equipment close by and ready and hope you will never need any of it.

when the revolution begins, and I fear it will if the current trends continue, you will be as ready as you can.
