Your post brought a tear to my eye. What am I teaching my children? I am teaching them that in a free country people can choose to do things I may believe is immoral and that some of those behaviors do not warrant jail because they do not harm others. That people may answer to God, but they have the freedom and God-given free will to decide to engage in the behavior. That true freedom means making good decisions even if the behavior being considered is not illegal. I am teaching them that in the US we cannot impose our religion on others because the government is set up to not do that.

That there is right and wrong and good and evil and that liberty exists within boundaries and that just because something is legal or widely accepted doesn't make it right and that evil will thrive if we ignore or enable it.

I am teaching them that in the US we cannot impose our religion on others because the government is set up to not do that.

No one imposes their religion onto anyone else. But everyone imposes their VALUES upon everyone else, and all the time.
