... over and over again in our Media starting right after JFK jr's Plane was missing that...
.."JFK jr and BILL CLINTON were so close that he had waited till CLINTON was in office before making his 1st visit to the White House since his father JFK's death ...just so he could visit with BILL..?"

Oh,I'm just salivating. Did she become a closet drunk before or after they discovered her daughter was pretty retarded? Or was it after her oldest son's plane was shot down and he was killed, fighting for his country? Or perhaps after another daughter was killed in a plane crash on the continent? Do you think she was "that way" already when she heard the news that her second oldest son,the President was assassinated? Certainly,it couldn't have happened when she saw her third son get shot and die, walking through the kitchen of a hotel while campaigning in California?
My what a weak woman she must have been!I am just so happy you were kind enough to let us all know this little tidbit. I have never heard that before, thankyou,Onyx.

You posted an excerpt from Ann Coulter's book, wherein she claims that Kennedy's failure of nerve in the Cuban crisis led to Krushev's building the Berlin Wall and sending nuclear missiles to Cuba.
I hope you mistyped, because if that is what she actually wrote I wouldn't spend a penny for her book. I would also accuse her of sloppy research,or deliberately misrepresenting facts, either of which is very damaging to her credibility.
I did a Google search and found the Berlin Wall went up in August of 1961 and the Cuban Crisis occurred the following year.
Had I not been so disgusted with the feeding frenzy that occurs whenever Freepers see the Kennedy name I never would have bothered to check. So you better be careful or you all will start eating your own.

You posted an excerpt from Ann Coulter's book, wherein she claims that Kennedy's failure of nerve in the Cuban crisis led to Krushev's building the Berlin Wall and sending nuclear missiles to Cuba. I'll put it in quotes, because I'll make the presumption that Bennett46 got it right: Ann Coulter sez - "...Kennedy's failure of will at the Bay of Pigs made a greater confrontation with the Soviet Union inevitable. In short order Krushchev built the Berlin Wall..."
Bay of Pigs invasion ends - April 1961
Berlin Wall started - August 1961
I hope you mistyped, because if that is what she actually wrote I wouldn't spend a penny for her book. I would also accuse her of sloppy research,or deliberately misrepresenting facts, either of which is very damaging to her credibility.
I'd like you to take this statement back and apologize to Bennett46 for your sloppy research.
I suggest as your penance that you buy TWO copies of Ann's book, and give one to a liberal friend.

Yeah, I don't discuss politics much with mom. It's kind of funny, but the fact that JFK was Catholic meant more to my mom than anything he did pollitically. I think, though, that she can't help but have seen some of the stuff that has come out on him lately. Oh well. Like you said, at least JFK served his country during the war instead of spouting treason on foreign soil like Bubba.

"Hell, I went to Ireland with an old girlfriend a few years back and they had a bust of JFK sitting on the mantlepiece, and they'd never left their country, much less been to America."LOL!! I hope some day to go to Ireland. My family roots are from County Cork. I imagine that I still have some very distant relatives there. Hopefully none of them have a bust of JFK ;-)

I don't know and I don't care "why" she drank. When she drank, Rose was mean and abusive to her household help. THAT is a FACT.

Liberals hail Kennedy as a hero for being able to navigate his way out of the Cuban Missile CrisisAnd wasn't that 'navigation' out of the Cuban missile crisis a whole lot less impressive than we've been taught by the liberal media?
Didn't the US have to move some missiles or bases out of Turkey, as a quid pro quo for Krushchev's taking missiles out of Cuba?
IIRC this wasn't reported until many years after-the-fact, so as not to tarnish St. JFK.
To: an amused spectator; All
I am truly sorry to have mixed up the Bay of Pigs with the Cuban Missile Crisis. Anne Coulter did not do sloppy research,at least insofar as the chronology of events;the Bay of Pigs occurred in April of 1961 and the Wall went up in August of that year.
I was mixing up events and posts and have no excuse. Those are the kind of mistakes that I hate because they result in ever escalating complications and confusion in the world. People do enough outright lying and having an overreactive, angry person posting misinformation helps no one. I am sorry and I will buy one copy of her book.
To: Bennett46
See my apology, i think it's just above. sorry.

Carline Besset was a really nice, healthy and preppy looking when she and JFK were just dating. She looked New England college wholesome .....at least when they first started together.
Her downfall was getting into the narcissistic fashion trip and hanging out with these fashion jerks. They got her into drugs but the inclination had to be there for her to succumb. In her last years this lovely girl dyed her hair blond (how original!) and got thinner and thinner as she wasted herself. My point is she had a natural beauty and she squandered it. I guess she wasn't so beautiful inside.
I'm betting JFK did not change but she did. She snared him under false pretenses, changed after the marriage and thought she could bring him over there too. Socializing with the fashion and society types of New York. She married him for the juice of the Kennedy name while JFK could care less.

JFK Jr. could get almost any chick on the planet. So who does he choose? A whacked out Coke Hag who was most likely cheating on him. It doesn't say much about his judgement. We all make some bad mistakes in life.
Personally, I liked JFKjr and he deserves no grief from me simply because he's related to Jabba the Kennedy-Hut (D-Mass).

Yes, you are correct about Kennedy agreeing to remove the missile bases from Turkey if Krushchev would remove the missiles from Cuba. Liberals are most happy when they are accomodating our enemies. I'm reminded of the peanut farmer giving up U.S. control of the Panama Canal so China buy in and have control.

One of the many reasons I appreciate FreeRepublic is the integrity of the posters (this case in point).
I am glad you will be reading Coulter's book. It is just chock full of information supported by footnotes, and as usual she is bitingly funny.
P.S. I am not Ms. Coulters publicist; just an appreciative reader!
To: PJ-Comix
There are certainly plenty of reasons to dislike the Kennedys, but these stories just show John-John out to be a poor dumb slob, or poor little rich stupid slob, more to be pitied than abused. Given that he knew his own limitations (and perhaps his family's as well) and had the sense to stay out of politics, isn't going after him counterproductive, and apt to reflect more badly on oneself than on him?
