A foreign worker driving a truck was fatally shot in the head in an ambush in the northern West Bank on Monday afternoon, military sources said.
The attack occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on the Yabed bypass road near the Jewish communities of Rehan, Hermesh and Shaked, at the northern edge of the West Bank.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound in the head and died shortly afterwards.
The shooting came despite a three-month truce in terror attacks declared Sunday evening by the Al Aksa Brigades, Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack.

The Al Aksa Martyrs' Brigades, a [terrorist group]affiliated with Yasser Arafat's ruling Fatah [terrorist group], claimed responsibility for the shooting near the West Bank village of Yabed. "We do not agree with the cease-fire," a group of militiamen from the West Bank town of Jenin said in a statement. "This is our first action. This is the beginning."
Can you guys just make your mind when it is beginning? You have been doing this for more then 10 years!

In other words, yoni, it's business as usual from the Palies.

In other words, yoni, it's business as usual from the Palies. And business as usual in appeasing them, making concessions to them, giving them land, power, and trust. It's Olso all over again. Buckle up for 10 more years.

Colin Powell said "We can't let little breaches of the cease fire stand in the way of the cease fire". Powell has bought into the term "cease-fire." Hudna does not mean Cease-Fire in English. It means that a weaker force makes a deal with the stronger one in order for it to get stronger and regroup until it can continue its attacks. It is mentioned to describe Mohammed's activity of the same sort in the Koran to take Mecca.

We can add another body to the Bush Deathwatch. Before this is over (hopefully with Bush's ouster in November 2004), the Deathwatch count could get into the thousands.

So let's see how this works...In Iraq, an American GI is ambushed almost daily or shot point blank and we mobilize the entire American Military there and go after the rat bastards with all force; however when it comes to Israel and its almost daily murder of its CIVILIANS, we ask them to turn the other way, disband settlements (outposts), not continue to build the wall of separation, stop going after the terrorist murderers, allow for this bogus Hudna so they can re-train and rearm and then give billions of dollars to the Palis (Yasser and Company).
Yeah, right, that's the story!! What a sad commentary for the USA to give to its one and only "Ally" in the Mid East.

Give them another chance, and another, and another until they stop. But when they stop, they will be doing so because there will be no more Israelis to kill.
Like posters have pointed out, when America loses its brave men, operations are undertaken to get the murderers. When Israel loses its brave men, Israel is told to sit tight and play as if nothing happened.

I take it Powell didn't say how long Israel should allow these little breaches to go on before doing something.
