The, probably never-mentioned-in-public solution is to lower the life expentency which would reduce the strain on the fund.

It's called Socialized Medicine, that in some countries refuses dialysis to patients over 65.

In other words, euthanasia.

But we don't have socialized medicine here (yet). However, what we do have is an underemployment situation which transfers stress from the economy to the individual worker. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but looking at analytically and not emotionally it makes sense to cull the population or risk draining the national treasure.
