Of the three bookstores I went into last week (one Border's and two Barnes and Nobles) Ann's book was not to be found at any of them in a visible location.

In each store it was invariably lying flat instead of standing up (of course, Hitlery's book was standing up, and put in the forward displays at all three), put behind a "New Releases" display instead of in front of it, and in one store was not even in the front, or anywhere to be found near the New Releases sections, it was all the way in the back of the store in "Current Events" and even there it was displayed "flat" instead of standing up.

If I can find the time, this week, I'm going to all three of these stores again, this week (especially when Ann's book hits the bestsellers list) and I'm going to ask for their managers and confront them about it.

I'm tired of these moronic, vicious, little leftist cretins getting away with this kind of bullsh!t over and over and over again, every time some conservative releases a book.

The bookstore I went into yesterday had Ann's book right next to "double wide"'s (love that term for HRC!), which I was pleased to see. However, there were not one but two displays of desk calendars mocking GWB with "Bushisms" crowded around the cash register. The bookstore just can't let the buying public think for a moment that they're conservative!

Hmmmm? If you have the courage - confront the managers where you can be heard. Sometimes when ONE person steps forward - that's all it takes to embolden others to step forward and also inquire about the book.

I'm calling you a chicken if you don't!

P.S. I hope you don't do anything rash like take along some fish guts to stash around their stores if you don't get satisfaction. Please...

At the Barnes & Noble in West Des Moines, the best sellers appear to be lined up in a row down down the middle of the store, between the escalators to and from the second floor. Treason appears on the left side, in a cardboard display standing on the floor designed to hold copies of the book, with Coulter's picture at the top. The display appeared to be stocked to half its capacity. About five or six feet further back in the store, there was about a three across, two high, and two deep set of copies of the Hildebeast's latest ghost-written book, with no particularly special display, poster, or whatever.

At Borders and Books in West Hartford Ct, Ann's book was nowhere, either the release day or the next day, But her book was on sale at Barnes and Noble right across the street, right at the front door, prominant, and in it's own case, about 1/3 empty the 2nd day of the release.

I can top you. I went to Border's today, looked all over for Ann's book, then gave up and asked the information clerk for help. She look at me and said "we don't have any -- they only sent us seven and they're all gone." Seven. A total of seven books.

Hillary's book was everywhere and not one person even picked up a copy to glance at it the whole time I was there. Border's is officially off my list of bookstores to shop at...

Maybe this will explain it.... I just found this on the Barnes and Noble corporate site. I'm thinking about not going there to buy my book now. Typical Libs.

Shortly after the Columbine High School tragedy in 1999, Barnes & Noble Chairman Len Riggio met with Abe Foxman, National Director for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Disturbed by the alarming increase in school shootings and hate crimes, the two wanted to find a way to work together that would help counter this destructive trend. The result is Close the Book on Hate, a joint effort of Barnes & Noble and the ADL that is designed to use education to help break the cycle of prejudice and hatred.

The program kicked off in September, 2000, and successfully involved thousands of people around the country. The ADL's innovative book - Hate Hurts: How Children Learn and Unlearn Prejudice - is the campaign's key resource. It's brochure, Close the Book on Hate: 101 Ways to Combat Prejudice, has proven to be a vital tool and demand has been extraordinary. Over the past year, Barnes & Noble stores gave away one million brochures to customers, local schools, colleges and universities, city and state agencies and non-profit organizations. The third annual campaign, which ran from October 1, 2002 to October 31, 2002, focussed on helping children combat prejudice and celebrate diversity.

Close the Book on Hate's mission is to educate adults on methods to reduce or prevent the development of prejudiced attitudes in young children through a series of free educational events for children, teens, educators and community leaders at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide. For any questions about Close the Book on Hate, contact Mary Ellen Keating, Senior VP of Corporate Communications.

2002 Close the Book on Hate brochure

Kinda makes me want to "celebrate the diversity" of all the bookstores here and spend my money elsewhere!
